  • The Power of Active Dreaming

Robert Moss Online Course Dream Work

    Dates: time unlimed
Link: The Power of Active Dreaming
Most of us think of dreams as barely remembered, passive nocturnal entertainment.
But around the world, shamans have pioneered a more powerful, valuable and fascinating way to approach dreaming: seeing it as a time for transformation, healing and getting guidance from higher levels of reality.
It’s literally the time in which our souls speak to us and we can access a multidimensional reality.
These ancient practices have increasingly been validated by modern science, which has recognized the ability for us to gain full lucidity and self-awareness in the Dreamtime — opening the possibility for new adventures in consciousness.

Robert Moss, bestselling author of Dreaming the Soul Back Home, plus 13 other books on the transformative power of dreams, has created a FREE virtual workshop called: The Power of Active Dreaming: How to Use Your Dreamtime for Healing & Transformation.
Robert is a brilliant and fascinating teacher on this subject, opening up a real paradigm shift in how you view your dreams, your soul, and even the way you view waking reality.

During this virtual workshop, you’ll learn:
How you can use Active Dreaming to perceive your future more accurately and receive valuable guidance for decision-making
How you can open up your dreams for a direct connection with guides, giving you access to deeper spiritual awareness
How you can re-enter dreamscapes and continue the journey to gain access to wisdom and healing
A shamanic perspective on how you can use dreams as a form of “medicine” to illuminate what is going on in your body or life.

I cannot reccommend Robert Moss highly enough.

  • Books

A list of books that will continue to grow. Feel free to email me your own recommendations!

  • Trauma & the Soul, Donald Kalsched

  • Inner Work - Robert Johnson.

Available as: printed book, audio book (Scribd, Audible).

This book is first on the list because it is a wonderful starting point for those new to working with their dreams, as well as having many useful ideas and insights for those who have already started this work. Johnson goes through the basic tenets of how to work with dreams as well as many useful ways of interpreting them. The style is easy to follow rather than overly academic and is a must-read for anyone embarking on dream work on their own. Reading this book alone will give you a good start on your journey.
  • Shamanic Dream Interpretation Books

  • Dreaming the Soul Back Home- Rober Moss.

Available as: printed book, audio book (Scrbd, Audible).

Robert Moss does not restrict his dream work to the lens of psychoanalysis. His broad-disciplined approach to dream work spans psychology, mythology and shamanic influences. Moss is a widely respected figure in the world of spiritualism yet combines a very down to earth approach with a reverence for what dreams have to show us. His style is easy to follow, moving and engaging, and this book takes the idea of our interconnectedness within the dream world a level further than therapists trained in psychoanalysis. Highly recommended for those seeking a deeper understanding of dreams that goes beyong the modern western viewpoint.
The audiobook is read by Moss himself, and his voice is soothing, clear and has an enjoyable light Australian accent.
  • Jungian Dream Interpretation Books

  • Sitting by the Well - Marion Woodman.

Available as: printed book, audio book (Audible).

Marion Woodman is a Jungian analyst who delved deep into the role of the feminine in dreams. Jungian analysts associate certain human character traits with being "feminine" and others as being "masculine" which can be a hurdle for gender-neutral readers, however her work was crucial in bringing the understanding of these character-traits to light via dream analysis, and in understanding that that which is labelled "feminine" is of deep value and therefore vital in the analysis of dreams.
The audiobook is read by Woodman herself and her style and enthusiasm are engaging. This book is academic in style and more suited to those who are already delving quite deep into analysis of their dreams.
  • Trauma & the Soul, Donald Kalsched

  • Trauma and the Soul - Donald Kalsched.

Available as: printed book, audio book (Audible).

This book is essential reading for anyone embarking on dream work who has trauma in their background. Interpreting dreams for those who have experienced trauma can work quite differently than for those who have not. Although Freud, Jung and their followers did wonders for understanding the nature of dreams and their meaning, work on dreams in the context of trauma remained scanty and sometimes even misleading until the work of Kalsched. An increasing number of people have experienced trauma, and with his introduction of the idea of the "inner persecutor" (an internalisation of persecutory figures from ones past) Kalsched, in my opinion, revolutionised dream work, and offered a key that previous thinkers had overlooked in understanding the dreams of trauma survivors. I consider this the single best book on offer for anyone who has trauma in their background.
Read in a clear, engaging voice, the audiobook makes the more academic content accessible in terms of style.

Important note on trauma: The definition of trauma extends beyond what is commonly understood as trauma - those who have experienced war, assault or sexual assault. Along with these (known as "big-T Traumas") the compounding nature of small-T traumas may also lead to the development of inner persecutory figures and even cPTDS (complex PTSD). The common measure for trauma - the A.C.E scale (adverse childhood experiences scale) - can help you work out if you have experienced trauma in your childhood. It is believed that over 30 million people in the USA alone experienced trauma in their childhood.
